ANALISIS SPEARMAN’S RHO TERHADAP POTENSI INTERAKSI OBAT DENGAN TEKANAN DARAH PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI RS ST. CAROLUS SALEMBA JAKARTA

Hypertension remains a global health issue that underlies complications of other diseases leading to potential fatalities. The prevalence of hypertension in DKI Jakarta Province is 33.43%, with Central Jakarta having the highest rate at 39.05%. hypertension ranks among the top 10 diseases with the highest number of patients at St. Carolus Salemba Hospital, in Jakarta. This study aimed to analyze the impact of potential drug interactions on blood pressure in hypertensive patients at St. Carolus Salemba Hospital, in Jakarta. The data used were retrospective records from 51 patients diagnosed with hypertension or having comorbid hypertension and using at least two types of hypertension drugs. The Spearman’s Rho test, in conjunction with the Drugs.com application, was employed to assess the impact of potential drug interactions on blood pressure in hypertensive patients at St. Carolus Salemba Hospital, in Jakarta. The results indicated that the most common level of interaction was moderate, with Amlodipine and Bisoprolol being the most interacting hypertension drugs. The Spearman’s Rho test results showed a significance value of 0.796 > 0.05, indicating that there is no significant impact of potential drug interactions on the blood pressure of hypertensive patients at St. Carolus Salemba Hospital, in Jakarta.
